Contents of TH-OCR SDK
TH-OCR SDK provides Chinese character recognition system of other programs with programming interfaces, including a few sample codes.

Limits of TH-OCR SDK
SDK only provides development interfaces. Software developed by SDK needs authorization for every running module.

486 CPU or above, 8M memory or above, Win95、Win98 or Win NT operating system

Application of TH-OCR
1. Interface
By Standard Windows dll: user can use SDK by functions in dll.
2. Sample Program
The system includes VC and VB, respectively under the sub-index of VB demo and VC demo.
ⅰ. VC demo: it demonstrates basic document recognition function.
ⅱ. VB demo: it demonstrates most functions.
3. Brief Introduction the System

The system has all functions of TH-OCR recognition core, including:
ⅰ. It supports reading TIFF, PCX, BMP format images as well as Packbits and compressed G4 TIFF format.
ⅱ. It can conduct automatic verification for inclined images caused by scanning mistake.
ⅲ. It can conduct automatic page analysis to images.
ⅳ. It supports output of internal codes such as GB_2312 (used in Mainland), BIG_5 (used in Taiwan), GBK, JIS, Shift-JIS, and KSC etc.
ⅴ. It can recognize merely English, simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean text documents.
ⅵ. It restores the page and derives RTF and HTML formats according to the result of recognition.
ⅶ. It supports recognition of images in memory.
ⅷ. It can obtain location and size of recognized characters in the original text.
ⅸ. It supports recognition of appointed area.
ⅹ. It supports call-back functions to show recognition progress.

⑴ Execution initialization: Tw_Start();
⑵ Begin to recognize: Tw_RecogFile(IpstrImage FileName,…,nOption);
⑶ End of recognition: Tw_End().

TH-OCR SDK Version
SDK is categorized into basic version, professional version and enterprise version. The performances, function, price and encryption varies. The basic version is without encryption. There only a few differences between basic version and professional version, which includes:
• Slight lower recognition rate
• It does not support post-verification based on language module
• It does not support output to RTF and HTML formats
• It does not have form handling functions
• It does not have obtain function of character location
